Tim Hortons First Drive-Thru Only Location Coming to WNY
We're less than two weeks away from the official start of fall, which will be on September 22nd. If you ask most people, however, fall is already here and pumpkin spice everything is back in stores and restaurants.
Tim Hortons is basically an institution in Western New York by now, as there are locations everywhere.
You go to work at 7-8 am every morning and it's not uncommon to see a drive-thru line wrapped around the building of a Tim Hortons, even spilling out onto the street -- that's how popular they are in Buffalo.
The Canadian-based chain is looking to expand and according to Buffalo Business First, a franchisee in the southern tier of Western New York is looking to add the company's very first drive-thru only location in the United States. It will be an hour away from the City of Buffalo.
Buffalo Business First reports that TAR Enterprises, which owns and operated seven Tim Hortons locations in Jamestown and Olean, will soon be opening a drive-thru only location in Jamestown, which will be the company's first in the United States.
Every Tim Hortons location in the Western New York and southern tier region, as of now, has a dine in option, but this location will only feature double drive-thrus.
Most of the time I go to Tim Hortons or any fast food restaurant, I go through the drive-thru, so this makes perfect sense to me and we could see more drive-thru only locations in the future.
