Ed Oliver Loves This One Country Song

I remember two years ago, watching a Buffalo Sabres embedded video on the 2020 NHL Entry Draft.

General manager Kevyn Adams mentioned how he was listening to music on the way into KeyBank Center and he heard a song he loved by Chris Stapleton, "Starting Over."

I love when certain athletes or people in sports love country songs. It's even cooler when it's someone with the Bills or Sabres loves certain country songs or artists.

Bills defensive tackle Ed Oliver is entering his fourth season in Buffalo. He's one of the most important players on the Bills defense and should see even more opportunities to make plays in 2022, with the addition of Von Miller on the edge and Tim Settle/Jordan Phillips at defensive tackle.

Oliver is a native of Houston, Texas (he went to the University of Houston) and is famous in Buffalo for his love for horseback riding.

Oliver took to Twitter to say that he will be going crazy when they play, "Save a Horse (Ride a Cowboy)" at Highmark Stadium this fall.

"Save a Horse (Ride a Cowboy)" is by Big & Rich and peaked at #7 on the Mediabase country radio chart back in 2004. It's been one of the most popular country songs of the last 20 years.

I think I've heard "Save a Horse (Ride a Cowboy)" at Highmark Stadium before, but I'm sure when it's played this upcoming season, it will be in part because of Ed Oliver.

I know Sabres players pick the playlist for their games and Bisons players pick walkup music, which is famous for many baseball players.

More country music at Bills games sounds good by me.
