[WATCH] Ed Oliver After Surgery On His Torn Bicep

Buffalo Bills star defensive tackle Ed Oliver was injured in their win over the Carolina Panthers this past Sunday. Multiple reports claim he has a torn bicep and will miss significant time. This video seems to confirm that Oliver tore his bicep. 

The video was posted on TikTok by a woman who is clearly close to Oliver. It's not clear what his relationship with her is, as there is no public knowledge of who he is dating or if this is a family member. Not that it matters, but just to be clear.

In it, Oliver appears to be in a wheelchair, which would suggest it’s post-surgery. He had a large cast/brace on his injured left arm.

Oliver only played a few games this year, but he has had sacks in all of them. He was the 9th overall pick by the Bills in the 2019 NFL draft. Oliver has been a key member of the Bills' defensive line since. 

Oliver is expected to miss the rest of the regular season and likely the entire playoffs. There’s a slim chance he can return for the playoffs or Super Bowl. He would need aggressive rehab and treatment to make that happen with no setbacks. 

If this were the timeline, this would indicate a Distal Biceps Tear. According to the Hand and Wrist Institute, recovery can take 3-4 months in all.
