Electronics are awesome when they're new.  Unfortunately these days, they're often outdated quickly.  So where do you take them when you upgrade?

How many times has this happened to you?  You spend a ridiculous amount of money on a piece of electronic equipment and when you get it, you love it.  Then just a couple months later, a new one comes out that does even more than the first one did.  So you go out and get the new one.  The old one goes in the garage in a box or on the floor and it just sits there taking up space.  You don't want to get rid of it because it cost you so much when you first got it.  So instead of selling it right away, it sits in your garage taking up space until it's totally useless.

Now what do you do with it?  You don't want to just throw it in the trash to take up space in a landfill.  You normally aren't supposed to just throw it in with your regular recycling.  There are things that they won't normally take.

That's why they have these recycling events specifically for electronics, and they're getting very popular.  According to Sunnking Electronics Recycling (who hold these recycling events) their upcoming event at the Eastern Hills Mall this weekend is already completely booked.  They had space for over 2,000 people at that event and it is completely full. The good news is, there are more scheduled for later this year.

If you have electronics that you need to recycle like computers, printers, TVs, microwaves, cell phones, tablets, or other things like that you might want to register soon for one of the upcoming events.  Click here to see what the acceptable (and not acceptable) items are.

They've got events planned for Niagara Falls and West Seneca later this year:
