Anyone who knows me knows I'm a huge dog lover. My fiancée and I rescued a adorable pit bull/beagle mix back in 2018 named Odessa and it's one of the best decisions we have ever made.

Many of these dogs that are rescued or surrendered did nothing wrong, and just need a new start. Some have medical conditions, but that doesn't mean they don't deserve a forever home.

The Niagara County SPCA is currently looking for help getting a dog with disabilities adopted.

Her name is Shelby and she's a nine-year-old English Bulldog mix. She's also blind and deaf.

The SPCA says Shelby needs a new home that's quiet with no kids. Just because she's blind and deaf, doesn't mean she isn't aware of her surroundings. She can follow the sound of your footsteps.

Shelby looks adorable and hopefully someone can adopt her soon. Breaks my heart to see dogs looking for a forever home, but the least we can do is get the word out when these pups need help.

Find out more at the Niagara County SPCA website.

UPDATE: Shelby was adopted!!
