Fall Weather is About to Visit and Stay in Western New York
It's been a pretty good summer in Western New York, all things considered. The month of July brought major heat to the Buffalo region and we went a while with not much rain in June and July.
Summer usually sticks around through most of September. The first official day of fall is September 22nd and what's funny is that the timing looks very much perfect for the kind of weather we are about to get.
Buffalo News
The high temperature on Wednesday in Buffalo will be 80 degrees, but thunderstorms will be the story heading through the day and the temps will drop pretty rapidly. There's a chance of strong thunderstorms.
Then on Thursday, we start the fall weather pattern that appears to stick with us for quite a long time.
According to the 10-day forecast on The Weather Channel, the high temperature in Buffalo on Thursday will be 59 degrees. In fact, we will have forecast highs between 58-65 degrees from Thursday, through the end of September.
By then, we will be in October and usually that means the cooler weather is here to stick...although we always seem to have a last shot of summer-like weather in early-to-mid October, before the cool weather takes a hold on the region into November.
If you love jeans and hoodies, the next two weeks (after Wednesday) looks like a picture-perfect forecast. The fall season is just about here in Western New York.
