Main Street In East Aurora Flooded Today [PHOTOS]
It's been a downright messy and miserable day across Western New York. The weather on Wednesday was quite nice for February, getting up into the 50's with a breeze, but Thursday has seen nothing but heavy rain, wind and yes, flooding.
All of Western New York was under a flood warning today, with the heavy rain and all that melting snow.
Many areas in Western New York saw flooded yards, side streets and even some main roads, including in East Aurora, where Main Street near Pasquale's was flooded this afternoon.
It was so deep that traffic had to be diverted.
The road has since reopened, but it's crazy that much water was flooded onto a street as busy and popular as Main Street in East Aurora.
I drove through a huge puddle of water on Ridge Road today, but luckily, wasn't quite deep enough to cause problems.
Be careful out there driving tonight, as the weather will turn from rain to freezing rain, and then to all snow after midnight, where Buffalo could get 2-4 inches, and areas north could see 4-8 inches. There's a Winter Storm Warning for Niagara and Orleans counties until 9 am on Friday.
This weekend it will turn colder again, but don't look now, the temps go back into the 40s by Sunday and Monday.
