Harrison Phillips Already Making Impact In Minnesota Community

The Buffalo Bills underwent a few changes during the 2022 off-season. Most of the team stayed intact, which it should have, considering how successful they have been since 2019.

However, a few beloved Buffalo Bills players were either not re-signed or released due to the salary cap.

Wide receiver Cole Beasley, edge rusher Jerry Hughes, cornerback Levi Wallace and backup quarterback Mitch Trubisky were some of the names not retained.

Another was fan-favorite Harrison Phillips. The four-year defensive tackle for the Bills signed as an unrestricted free agent in the off-season with the Minnesota Vikings.

Phillips was a favorite in Buffalo because of his work off the field. Phillips' "Playmakers Foundation" helped many disadvantaged kids in the Buffalo community and Harrison went out of his way to bring smiles to their faces every chance he got.

Phillips finished in third place for the NFL Walter Payton Man of the Year award in January of 2022, and was awarded $5,000 towards his charity.

Just because he has left Buffalo does not mean he will stop his charity work. Phillips is already making a huge impact in the Minnesota community, as he visited the Crescent Cove this week, which is the Midwest's only children's hospice facility.

Phillips leaving was a sad day for Buffalo but it's awesome that he will now get to help kids and young adults in the Minneapolis/Minnesota community like he did for Western New York.

He's truly one of the best people in the NFL. Nobody asked him to do this charity work, but he feels it's the right thing to do in his profession.
