The excitement for the 2026/27 NFL season has been building as steadily as the construction of the new Highmark Stadium has been progressing. It was just a few days ago when the large exterior sign for Highmark Stadium went up, signaling another major milestone in the construction being completed.

Now another milestone has been announced by the Buffalo Bills, and it will go a long way to help the stadium look great and give a big boost to the local arts community in Western New York.

The Artists For The Buffalo Bills Public Art Program Have Been Announced

Through an open Call for Artists RFQ /RFP, the Buffalo Bills have selected 45 different Buffalo area artists and have commissioned them to create various sculptural ceiling art, murals, and wall-based art that will be displayed throughout the Highmark Stadium complex.

The three RFQs, which were announced in 2025, saw more than 400 applications submitted for a chance to create history in Buffalo.

The public art at Highmark Stadium will reflect the city's diverse demographics, team and fan engagement, and welcome travelers of all backgrounds to experience artwork in an inclusive environment. Arts and sports are universal languages, allowing people to express themselves and connect across cultures, languages, and generations.

The process of fabricating and installing the art is already underway, with the final products to be on display and available for all to see in the late summer when Highmark Stadium opens to the community.
