Hot, Humid, Sticky Weather Expected This Week In New York
Hopefully, you enjoyed the cool Father's Day Weekend because another hot humid sticky week is on tap across New York.
Looking ahead there is a major front that is set to move across the state that will bring hot humid weather with it along with rain and thunderstorms.
According to Accuweather, the front will move into Western New York starting on Tuesday evening with the brunt of the heat and humidity impacting the region for the rest of the week.
We will see a 10-degree increase in our expected high temperature from yesterday to today and that will climb another 5 degrees for Wednesday.
Rain and thunderstorms are expected on Wednesday and that is when the humidity will be at its worst. Thursday, the sun returns and the humidity drops a bit but it will still linger for Thursday, Friday, and then through the weekend.
The heat index with the humidity will make it feel like 5 or 10 degrees warmer than the actual temperature which means it could feel like the 90s across Western New York on Wednesday.
We will get a little bit of relief Sunday evening into Monday. The front is expected to move out on Sunday and take with it some of that humidity and chance of rain and thunderstorms.
Monday should be a decent day in the 716 as we will see sunshine with a high near 72. A slow warmup is on tap next week and we could be back into the 80s by the middle of next week but it wouldn't be so humid.
