Fall officially begins in just under a month, so we are still a long way from the start of the holiday season in late November, but it never hurts to start looking ahead to the fall and winter events and there's one coming to Western New York that is sure to be a huge hit with families.

According to WKBW, there will be a holiday light show experience coming to Six Flags Darien Lake called The Magic of Lights.

The spectacle is a light show that spans 1.25 miles and will feature nearly 1 million lights.

It runs from November 18th-January 2nd at the theme park but will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.

The light show will have 15 "dazzling" scenes, such as the Twelve Days of Christmas and Candy Cane Lane.

The event is free to all season pass members but those wishing to buy tickets for The Magic of Lights can do so this fall.

This looks great. I love the Festival of Lights at the Hamburg Fairgrounds and even though this one is a bit of a drive out in Corfu, it's worth it to see a light show such as this during the holidays. It's easily one of the best things a family can do with one another during the holiday season.
