The Italian Festival returns to Hertel Avenue in 2011 to celebrate 150 years of a unified Italy. Why not come out and enjoy a connoli or two while brushing up on your Italian?

While the festival will still provide the fantastic cultural food one has come to expect, there will be plenty of entertainment the whole family can enjoy. Featured on the main stage will be Franco Corso, a beloved Italian-American singer. Also performing will be opera and jazz artists Bobby Militello, Coro Italia, and many others. In addition to the great music, both the "Italian Idol Contest" and "Dancing Under the Stars" will be returning "better than ever," according to organizers.

In addition to performing entertainment, the festival will be showcasing a thirty foot Leaning Tower of Piza replica or get your photo taken in front of the Venetian gondola. And what Italian Festival would be complete without a money tree!

The Italian Festival runs today thru Sunday on Hertel Avenue between Delaware and Colvin. The festivities begin at 11 A.M. and close at 11 P.M. each night except Sunday, which ends at 10.
