According to the official Guide To Albany’s Capital Region, a wedding in upstate New York can cost, on average, anywhere between $25,000 - $35,000. 

That’s close to what I make in a year….wow. Talk about expensive.

This Is The Most Affordable Wedding In Western New York

An officiant is planning to be out by the Horseshoe Falls all day on Tuesday, July 4. 

Starting at 9 AM, the officiant will be marrying couples as long as they have $75 and a New York state marriage license. Every wedding will get at least 30 minutes for their ceremony so there will be some time for cute wedding photos by the Falls. 

Why Is This Happening?

Well, you know what the say about really good kisses? Some people call it “fireworks” … haha!

Actually, the reason this may be happening is because it’s a rather popular day to get married. The 4th of July weekend usually allows another day to recover from the big celebrations, so many people (over 108,000 couples) will be getting married this weekend across the country. 

So it’s really cool that an officiant is planning to dedicate his Independence Day to love.
