Has Bradley Chubb Been Eyeing A Buffalo Bills Contract For Years?

It's not absurd to think that NFL players would love to be on a different team than the one they're currently signed to. But to hear that one player has been asking about Buffalo for years is a bit eye-opening.

Many players in the NFL end up on whichever team drafts or trades for them. They don't have a lot of say in the process for a couple of years. When they become free agents, they can choose which team they go to, but it's still mostly up to the teams to choose them.

So, when a player gets to actually play on a team that they've wanted to go to, it makes it even that much more special.

Bradley Chubb has been asking about Buffalo for years

Dalton Kincaid said in a press conference today that new Buffalo Bills' edge rusher Bradley Chubb has been asking about the Bills since 2023. He said that he lined up against Chubb when the Bills were playing the Dolphins during his rookie year in 2023. Instead of talking trash to him, Chubb asked if Kincaid liked playing here.

Kincaid said at the time he thought it was a super odd thing to ask a rookie. He loved it, though, and thought it was really cool to come from him. He said it was like a "sportsmanship award."

It's just another example of how the culture that was created by Brandon Beane and Sean McDermott caught the eye of players around the league. There was a time when it felt like no one wanted to come play in Buffalo. Now, some of the biggest names are not only watching what this franchise does, but they're keeping them in mind as a possible landing spot for their next job.
