Here’s Everything You Need To Know About The Bandits’ FREE Championship Party
Let’s go Bandits!
Last Saturday night, the city of Buffalo came alive once the Buffalo Bandits sealed a win, securing the National Lacrosse League championship for the first time since 2008.
Now, they’re inviting all of their faithful fans in Banditland to come and celebrate their epic victory with them this Thursday.
Buffalo Bandits Championship Celebration This Week
The Buffalo Bandits are hosting a free event on Thursday, June 15th at 5pm in Alumni Plaza outside KeyBank Center. The Bandits players will (in true championship rally style) say “thank you” to their fans via an on-stage presentation, along with the NLL trophy.
There will also be plenty of food and drinks, live music, and family friendly activities. There’ll also be a performance from the fan-favorite Buffalo Bandettes, also with some brand-new championship Bandits merchandise to grab while you can in the team store.
We assume the party will be packed (and downtown Buffalo traffic will be jammed), so try to get there early if you can!
Bandits’ Celebration Also For A Good Cause
The downtown event this Thursday won’t be just a way for Bandits fans to get together after their victory - there’s also an opportunity to give back to the Western New York community.
The first 1,000 attendees to bring a non-perishable food donation for FeedMore WNY to the celebration will get a commemorative NLL championship poster to take home.
Free Parking Downtown For Bandits Celebration
Hope to snag a parking spot close to all the action this Thursday? Get there early for access to FREE parking inside the KeyBank Center ramp garage, as well as the parking lot between Mississippi Street and Baltimore Street.
Procession To Sahlen Field For Buffalo Bisons Game
When the event wraps up at 6:15pm, the Bandits will lead fans to Sahlen Field with a procession down Washington Street, ending up the Buffalo Bisons’ “Lacrosse Night” baseball game against the Syracuse Mets.
Buffalo Bandits’ star and NLL Finals MVP, Dhane Smith, will throw out the ceremonial first pitch before game time at 7:05 pm.
During the Bisons’ game, both Bandits and Bisons fans will have the chance to take a photo with the coveted NLL trophy until 8pm.
Downtown Buffalo is going to get wild this Thursday with the Buffalo Bandits and Bisons - we hope you’re ready for it!
