Do The Bills Have Their Own Version Of The Beer Sabre?
Last season, the Buffalo Sabres sold what looked like a sabre that you could fill with beer. They were a huge hit! Now, it looks like the Bills are teasing their own version of something similar.
The Sabres found a hit with the beer sabre
When the Sabres announced that they would be selling beer sabres at one of their games, it just looked like another gimmick. But it was pure genius.
Here's why the beer sabres are awesome at games:
1. It looks hilarious watching people walking around with these things. They're essentially curved tubes with a handle on the end that you can fill with beer.
2. It takes a couple of beers to fill them. With the prices of beer in the arena, it feels like they must be making a ton of money on each sabre.
3. When people get on the jumbotron while they're holding them, they slam their beer. It's hilarious to watch people try to chug a beer out of them because almost everytime it ends with the people wearing more beer than they drink. Then they have to go buy more beer. It's pure genius.
The Bills are now teasing something similar to the beer sabre
While showing off some of the food that they will have at the new Highmark Stadium this season, they threw in a scene with Billy Buffalo highlighting a mannequin that had a beer horn hanging around its neck. Pause the following video at :37 seconds to see it.
Take a second and try to fathom what it's going to be like in that new stadium with people constantly chugging out of beer horns. It will be Buffalo's version of wearing a cheese hat! It feels like every day this stadium is already taking on more and more character.
The thing that's on everyone's mind these days with this stadium though is the price. How much do you think these things will be? And will you be getting one if you go to a game?
