Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story was huge in Western New York

Last fall, before the holidays, a lot of Bills fans were talking about a new Hallmark movie that was set to come out. It was called "Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story" and of course, it focused a lot on the Buffalo Bills and the families that love them.

One of the biggest reasons people were excited about it was that a lot of it was filmed right here in Western New York. There were camera crews all over the place filming scenes with some somewhat well-known actors in places where we live and shop all the time. There were scenes in Orchard Park, East Aurora, and more.

The other reason people were all over it were the Buffalo Bills that had cameos in it. There were current players like Damar Hamlin, Ray Davis, DeWayne Carter, and former coach Sean McDermott along with former Bills greats like Jim Kelly, Thurman Thomas, Andre Reed, and Steve Tasker.

I have to admit, like a lot of people in Western New York, I watched it. I'm not a guy who would normally watch Hallmark movies because I'm not a "love story" kind of guy, so I was extremely skeptical. But because the Bills were in it, I wanted to see the scenes from around Western New York, and it was about the Bills, I gave it a try. I watched it with my wife. While it wasn't really my genre, I did kind of enjoy seeing what people think Bills Mafia is outside of Western New York. It wasn't bad. If you have to watch a love story, at least this one is a little bit about the Bills.

Soon, you're going to be able to watch it whenever you want...as long as you still have a DVD player hooked up to your TV. It's coming out on DVD on October 20th. You'll be able to order it for 19.99 as part of a 2-movie collection with "The Snow Must Go On."
