Popular Bar In Western New York Is For Sale

It can be scary when you see a “For Sale” sign listed on your favorite hang out place, but it doesn’t mean that the place you have known and loved is gone forever. 

A popular bar in Western New York is for sale, and if the right person buys it, they could keep the legacy going for years to come. 

However, the future of this corner bar hangout in Lackawanna is uncertain at this time.

Known by the name of Ice House Pub, this bar is one of the most fun places you can go to have a beer. They have so many cool events that happen on a weekly basis, including karaoke, wing nights, live music, taco Tuesday, trivia, and more. It’s such a close-knit community at the Ice House Pub, the bartenders remember you for more than just your favorite drink – they become friends!

Back in the day, it used to be an old jail house, but thanks to owners Lanette and Ron, they were able to convert it into this unique bar, with a patio, cornhole boards, firepits, and a happy hour that lasts for 6 hours per day (12-6 PM). It would be devastating to see this corner staple leave our community, but it doesn’t look like that’s necessarily the only outcome. 

Ice House Pub addressed the recent “for sale” listing on their Facebook page, and here’s what they said:

“We know everyone has seen the recent posts shared about selling The Ice House, while this is very true we however are VERY open…still the same days and hours…all activities still going, daily specials, Friday night live bands, Saturday Karaoke, Sunday poker, Tuesday wing and taco specials plus FREE darts, Wednesday Dart League and Thursday Trivia… PLUS we have a ton of amazing things planned for this summer including continuing our Saturday afternoon Concert series!! So let’s keep making memories!!! ” 

When I reached out to Ice House Pub to see if they were planning to sell the bar to owners who would keep the bar in business, they were uncertain. 

“As far as we know, it will still remain as a bar and hopefully staying the Icehouse pub,” the bar wrote back. “But that will be up to the new owners.”

Fingers crossed the new owners know that Ice House Pub keeps the good vibes rolling.
