The retail chain has been dealing with a certain amount of fights and violence at the store and that has what has led them to make this decision.

Targets Putting Ban on These People in New York State

There have been some of the Target Stores in New York State who have decided that they are going to put a man and not let any customers under the age of 18 inside of the store without and adult. According to New York State Family:

In bright, bold letters, on the clear glass that greets customers as they open the door, it reads a controversial but firm message: All guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult at this Target store.

At these specific stores that are doing this, it has caused a problem with other shoppers feeling safe and even wanting to visit the retail giant.

There is one spot in Western New York with a similar, major problem.

In Western New York, the Walden Galleria mall is notorious for having underage kids causing all sorts of problems at the mall. Over the past couple of years it has become so routine that some parents do not even like to go shopping there. Crime like fights and car thefts have been major issues and the Cheektowaga, New York State police often are called to the mall for disturbances.

One family in Clarence, New York said that they will not ever go to the Galleria Mall again because of all of the fights and although the mall has made changes in order to make 18 years and older be accompanied by an adult, problems still arise. In fact, a 16 year old just stole a car from the parking lot within the past couple of weeks.
