There is sad news to report this week as one of the most beloved country music artists off all time has died. Toby Keith has passed away at the age of 62.

Toby Keith has been one of the most popular, and outspoken artists, and is well known for songs like, "Should've Been A Cowboy", "Me And God Love Her", "Red Solo Cup", and a list of other smash hits. However, it was his patriotic themed music that really propelled his career.

After the attacks on 9-11, Keith released some of the most played songs on country radio. Songs like "Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue" and "American Soldier" united fans and our resolve as a nation in the fight against terror.

Recently, Toby Keith had been battling cancer and seemed to have been making a comeback against the disease. The news of his passing was released early on Tuesday.

Our prayers are with Toby's family, and fans across the world.

In a statement on social media, the announcement said:

Toby Keith passed peacefully last night on February 5th, surrounded by his family. He fought his fight with grace and courage. Please respect the privacy of his family at this time.

Toby Keith's most recent performances were just weeks ago and were some of the most powerful and emotional of his career.
