Die Hard, The Greatest Christmas Movie Ever
With the holiday season upon us, the constant debate continues of whether or not Die Hard should be considered a Christmas Movie continues. I am here to tell you that, not only is Die Hard a Christmas movie, but it's the greatest Christmas movie that has ever been made.
There are tons of great movies to watch during the Holiday season.
From funny movies like National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation to wholesome family movies like Little House On The Prairie: A Merry Ingalls Christmas or It's A Wonderful Life, but I am here to tell you that the greatest Christmas movie of them all is Die Hard.
Now, I know what you may be thinking: Die Hard Is NOT a Christmas movie?! However, you're wrong thinking that, am going to tell you why.
There are a number of things that make a Christmas movie a Christmas movie, things like family gatherings and get-togethers, nostalgia for the holidays, Christmas accouterments, your typical seasonal cliches, and of-course winter.
The next time you watch Die Hard, watch it with these things in mind and you will see just what I see, Die Hard is the greatest Christmas movie ever.
Die Hard Is All About Family
The primary premise of the movie is based on John McClane traveling from New York to Los Angeles on vacation to spend time with his family during Christmas. What's more Christmasy than that?
Santa Claus Is There
Remember that scene with the dead guy strapped to the chair with 'Ho Ho Ho' written on his shirt? He's wearing a Santa hat. People only wear Santa hats during Christmas.
There's Plenty Of Gift Giving
Whether it's gifts for his kids, freedom for the hostages, or dead bodies flying out of skyscraper windows, there is a present for just about everyone in the movie.
Realization Of Hope and Redemption
There is a point in every Christmas movie when the protagonist realizes what really matters and then fights with everything in their heart to achieve that.
Those are just 4 reasons why Die Hard is the greatest Christmas movie ever. I bet the next time you watch it you will agree with me.
