Western New York Campground Nominated For Best In State

We are smack dab in the middle of camping season, and one campground in Western New York is getting some attention statewide. Camp New York put out its nominees for best campground in the state, and Western New York campers will see a familiar name on the list.

Western New York Campground Nominated For Best In The State

Camp New York debuted the "Best of Camp New York" awards in 2025, and they are looking for campers all across the state to weigh in on the best camping spots in the state. The "People's Choice" awards recognize the campgrounds that campers love the most.

Rustic Woods Campground, located in Varysburg, has been nominated for two awards. They are up for "Best New Campground" and "Best Overall Small Campground"

The "Best New Campground" award is given to the campground that opened in the past two years, and the "Best Overall Small Campground" is given to campgrounds that have between 1 and 125 sites.
