It looks like the luck of the Irish was in full swing for several lottery players this weekend in New York.

The New York State Lottery announced that there were several "Big Money" winning Mega Millions and Powerball tickets sold in New York this weekend, including one ticket that won $1 million dollars.

Starting with Friday Night's Mega Millions drawing, there was one ticket that matched all five numbers but missed out on the Mega Ball which means that ticket won the 2nd place prize of $1 million dollars.

There were also two 3rd place winning tickets sold in New York from Friday's Mega Millions drawing. Each one of those tickets matched four out of five numbers and had the Mega Ball meaning they each won $10,000.

Friday's winning Mega Millions numbers were: 13-25-50-51-66 with a Mega Ball of 06.

Now for Saturday's Powerball drawing, the New York State Lottery announced that there were two 3rd place winning tickets sold in New York. Each one of those tickets matched four out of five numbers and the Powerball number meaning they each won $50,000.

Saturday's winning Powerball numbers were: 12-23-44-57-61 with a Powerball of 05.

EXTRA: MOST COMMONLY DRAWN POWERBALL NUMBERS

There were no grand prize winners from either the Mega Millions or Powerball drawing this weekend. That means there is over $1 billion dollars in jackpot money up for grabs this week.

The next drawing for the Powerball is on Monday and the jackpot is up to $645 million dollars.
