New York Fans Angry Over Buffalo Bills Social Media Post
This week, there was a bit of a controversy on social media after the Buffalo Bills wished the Toronto Blue Jays good luck in the Major League Baseball playoffs. The Blue Jays are taking on the New York Yankees, and this is where some fans were upset.
Buffalo Bills Wish Toronto Blue Jays Good Luck Against The Yankees
See the Buffalo Bills are considered to be New York's only pro football team since the Giants and Jets both play their home games in a stadium located in New Jersey. So you would think that the only NFL team in New York would be rooting for the baseball team that calls New York home too.
First off, the Bills played several "Home" games in Toronto during the 2000s when they were trying to grow their international base. The Buffalo Bills also had several minority owners who are former Toronto sports stars. Tracy McGrady, Jozy Altidore, and Vince Carter are all now minority owners in the Buffalo Bills, and they are household names in Toronto.

The Buffalo Bisons, the Triple-A baseball team, is the farm team for the Toronto Blue Jays, and the Blue Jays even played home games in Buffalo in 2020 during the COVID-19 season.
Finally, the Toronto Blue Jays have a player who is from Rochester, who used the Buffalo Bills' "Shout Song" as his walk up music when he comes to bat.
So for all the fans who were hating on the Bills for wishing the Blue Jays good luck, you should remember that Buffalo and Toronto are more connected than Buffalo and New York City.
