Must Do Things If You Are From Buffalo New York

Western New Yorkers are very proud to say they are from Western New York.

There are so many cool things to do around the 716 that sometimes Buffalo natives don't get a chance to do them all.

For example, I  just hiked the Eternal Flame trail at Chestnut Ridge Park even though I grew up in West Seneca and have lived in Western New York for over 30 years.

So we took to social media and asked people from Buffalo what are some things that you need to do if you say "You Are From Buffalo"

ATTEND A BILLS GAME

The Bills have been the heartbeat of the community since they joined the AFL in 1960. The Bills are one of the few things the rest of the country knows about Buffalo, so heading to at least one game makes you a true Buffalonian.

RIDE THE MAID OF  THE MIST

This is another "must do" if you are from Buffalo. Sure it is a big tourist ride but most Western New Yorkers have taken a school field trip to ride the Maid of the Mist. If you are from Buffalo you need to have taken a ride to the edge of the Falls at least once.

EAT A HOT DOG AT CONNORS

Growing up in Buffalo a summer tradition was to head to Micky Rats. Then after a day at the beach, you would scarf down a dog from Connors. If you are from Buffalo you need to at least eat at Connors once in your lifetime.

DIP YOUR WINGS IN BLUE CHEESE

Buffalo is the home of the chicken wing and we know the only dip you are supposed to use is blue cheese. If you want to show people you are a true Buffalonian, you need to ditch the ranch and embrace the cheese.

WALK THE ETERNAL FLAME TRAIL

One of the coolest trails in Western New York and people from all over the country come to check out the flame that never goes out. The hike isn't too tough and it really show the beauty that Western New York has to offer.
