The Old Farmer's Almanac has put out it Winter Weather predicaiton for 2026-27 and I have to say I don't mind it at all.
I live in Hamburg, and for the past several years we have been hit with plenty of Lake Effect snow. I am sick of shoveling feet of snow every day, and if this prediction from the Old Farmer's Almanac is true, it looks like I won't have to do this winter.
Of course on the other side, if you love sking, snowmobiling, snowboarding, or any other outdoor snow releated activity, this might not be your Winter.
The Old Farmer's Almanac is calling for a Mild and wet winter in Western New York
Cold, Snowy Winter Expected In Parts Of New York State
The good news is that if you like doing outdoor activities in the Winter, you won't have to travel too far from Western New York to do them. According to the Old Farmer's Almanac's Winter Weather prediction, it will be cold and snowy for much of Central and Northern New York.

A quick trip to Rochester, Syracuse, or Albany should help get your snow needs filled. This prediction also means Buffalo most likely won't win the Golden Snowball Award this winter.
