“Parent Tax” In Place For Halloween In New York
This week you can expect a special tax to pop up all across New York State.
It is called the "Parent Tax" and its the tax that parents levy on their children after a night of trick-or-treating.
In my house, the "Parent Tax" was 5 pieces of my favorite candy (Reece's Cups) after a long night of walking around with my son Avry.

Yep, every parent has the right to pull some candy from their kids Halloween bag after all the trick-or-treating is done. This tax is important especially if your kids are younger and you have to walk around with them to collect the candy.
This is the perfect time to show your kids the good and bad side of government and taxes. Some parents will take a 50% "parent tax" and take half of the candy collected by their kids. Some parents, like me, will take a flat tax on a certain amount of candy no matter how much or how little is collected.
For you new parents, you might get some kickback from your kids over the "parent tax" so the best thing to do is download this here and share it with your children.
Tell them, "Welcome to the real world" and let them know they will be paying taxes until the day they die and even sometimes after that!
