According to a post on their social media page, Vidler's has taken a step into the 21st Century by adding the option to tap your smartphone or use a chipped card to pay for your items.

Tap to pay has become a quick and easy way for people to use their smartphone to pay for items.

How To Use Tap To Pay With Your Smartphone

There are two steps to take if you want to "Tap To Pay" with your smartphone.

Step One - Set up your digital wallet on your smartphone.

  • Turn on NFC in your phone's connection settings 
  • Open your digital wallet app. Your wallet will depend on what kind of phone you have. It could be an Apple Wallet, Google Wallet, or Samsung Wallet. 
  • Add your credit or debit card by scanning it with the camera or typing in the details.
  • Verify your card with your bank if prompted

Step Two - Use Your Phone At Stores That Accept Tap To Pay

When you go to a store that accepts Tap To Pay, as Vidler's does now, you hold your phone to the area on the pad where it says tap to pay. You then confirm the payment on your phone, and you are all set.
