World’s Largest Chicken Wing Coming To Western New York?

Thousands of people went to Canalside this past weekend to see the World's Largest Rubber Duck. Is Buffalo missing a chance to bring thousands of people downtown each and every week?

World's Largest Chicken Wing Coming To Buffalo?

Buffalo is known for two things: snow and chicken wings. We could turn that into something amazing. If thousands of people "flocked" to Canalside to see the World's Largest Rubber Duck, wouldn't thousands of people come and see the World's Largest Chicken Wing? I bet they would, and Canalside would be crawling with people to get photos with it.

A quick Google search shows that the World's Largest Chicken Wing statue is located in Florida. In my opinion, that is a HUGE waste! It needs to be in Buffalo.

So we have two options: we could have the city pay the owners of the current statue and bring it here and display it at Canalside, or (a better option) is to have a local artist or artists come together and create a wing that is bigger and better than the current record-holder for World's Largest Chicken Wing.

My vision would be a wing drumstick being held up over a bowl of Blue Cheese. Are you telling me that people wouldn't want to come down and take photos with that statue? I know thousands of people come to Downtown Buffalo for the National Chicken Wing Festival, so they would come for the World's Largest Wing too.

If you give people a reason to come to downtown, they will, and this statue would do it. So where do we start? Who can get this ball rolling and bring some amazing artwork to Buffalo?
