Will Bill Belichick Get Fired Or Not From The Patriots?
It is going to be very interesting to see how this all plays out with Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots. He has been with the team forever as the head coach and has won six Super Bowls. He is also closing in on becoming the winningest coach in NFL history. However the team was awful this year and he has received some deserving criticism for his job as general manager and being in control of football operations. This is a personal decision for owner Robert Kraft and not a business decision. He and Belichick have been friends who have had a lot of success over the past two decades and beyond. I honestly do not know what is going to happen here as it is a tough decision. Belichick has not won since Tom Brady left the Pats and has one playoff appearance which was a blowout loss to the Bills. He is a phenomenal head coach and a terrific defensive mind but the roster isn't talented and he might need another person to oversee football operations next season.
MJ and I had on our good friend Evan Lazar from patriots.com earlier this morning right here on Big Board Sports. Evan told us that he feels like he's in a holding pattern with the decision still looming. Below is our full interview with him.
We shall see what the offseason brings for the Patriots but there could be some significant changes for the first time in a while.
