Watch Jennifer Lawrence Lip-Sync Santana’s ‘Evil Ways’ in an ‘American Hustle’ Deleted Scene
'American Hustle' didn't win the Academy Award for Best Picture, but perhaps it might have if it had included this deleted scene featuring Jennifer Lawrence lip-syncing her way through Santana's 'Evil Ways.'
In the clip, Lawrence's character tries to concentrate on cleaning her house, but gets too caught up in the song and spends a good part of the time dancing along instead of vacuuming. Meanwhile, her son looks on bemusedly.
There's no word on when the scene was supposed to take place, but given the intensity she displays on the lyrics "I'm getting tired / Of waiting / And fooling around / I'll find somebody / Who won't make / Me feel like a clown," we'll suspect that it's after she discovered that her husband Christian Bale was cheating on her with Amy Adams. Don't get on our case about spoilers; the movie's been out for months.
Set in the late-70s and early-80s, 'American Hustle''s soundtrack included plenty of classic rock, including Elton John's 'Goodbye Yellow Brick Road' and Wings' 'Live and Let Die.' Its trailer was cut to Led Zeppelin's 'Good Times Bad Times.'
