We love to over analyze every little detail in the world of the NFL and sports in general. It’s just human nature. We care deeply about these teams and players and yes, social media is a big reason for that now.

So, when it’s announced on social media that a prominent Bills player has switched agents, fans take notice.

Buffalo Bills starting safety Jordan Poyer has switched his agent to Drew Rosenhaus.

Rosenhaus is probably the most famous agent in the NFL. He’s represented countless stars in football over the last 20+ years and even fans know who he is.

The timing of Poyer switching agents is interesting, after wide receiver Stefon Diggs just got his huge contract extension and Poyer only has one year remaining on his contract. The soon to be 31-year-old is an unrestricted free agent after 2022.

Does the Rosenhaus alignment signal a beginning of contract talks between the Bills and Rosenhaus? It’s clear Poyer has a lot left in the tank and could be in the NFL as a starter for another 4-5 seasons. I would bet he wants one more sizable contract before retirement.

Since coming to Buffalo in 2017, both Poyer and Micah Hyde have been nothing short of brilliant for the Bills defense. They have solidified the back end and we’re big contributors in getting the Bills to the #1 defense in the NFL.

Will Poyer be back with the Bills after 2022? We sure hope so.
