The Buffalo Bills opened regular season play at the new Highmark Stadium with a big 41-31 win over the Detroit Lions. Josh Allen had an amazing night, but there is one fact that makes this win even crazier.

Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen was firing on all cylinders in the Bills' first regular-season win at the new Highmark Stadium. Allen became the first player to score a touchdown in the regular season at the new stadium.

He would go on to score a lot more, too. At the end of the game, Allen threw for 248 yards and three touchdowns. He also scored two rushing touchdowns while running for 69 yards.

Those are amazing stats, but even more amazing when you find out that Allen did all that while suffering from the Flu.

After the game, during an interview with the panel from Thursday Night Football on Amazing, it was brought up that Allen had been suffering from the Flu before the game.

The Bills have had a great start to the 2026 NFL season. They won in week one on the road against the Houston Texans and then returned home on a short week to beat the Detroit Lions.

The Bills will be back home next weekend to host the LA Chargers. If they win, they could open up an early lead in the race for the AFC Championship.
