Now that he is no longer with the Buffalo Bills, former Bills backup quarterback Jake Fromm is doing his best Josh Allen impression.

Apparently, Jake Fromm learned more than just Xs and Os from Buffalo Bills starter Josh Allen. He also learned his love for the number 17.

That's right when Jake Fromm was signed from the Buffalo Bills practice squad earlier this week by the New York Giants, the number 4 which he wore in Buffalo was already spoken for by Giants. It is a number that has been retired by the Giants in honor of Tuffy Leemans who played for the team from1936 until 1943.

That number would make Josh Allen proud, because, during his latest press conference, Fromm was sporting the number 17.

Fromm was a 5th round draft pick by the Buffalo Bills in the 2020 NFL draft. He saw very limited action with the Bills during the pre-season and never saw any playing time during the regular season this year with the Bills.

Fromm was the COVID-19 emergency QB for the Bills last season and was released and then resigned to the practice squad at the end of training camp this season.

By signing with the New York Giants from the practice squad, Fromm is guaranteed to be part of the game-day roster for the Giants. The Giants were in need of a quarterback after their starter Daniel Jones was injured with a neck strain and is expected to be out at least for this Sunday's game against Miami.
