We're just over three months away from the start of the 2022 NFL regular season and it's safe to say that the excitement for the Buffalo Bills has never been higher...at least since 30 years ago.

The Bills are the odds-on favorite to win Super Bowl LVII in Arizona next February. The team had a top five ranked offense in 2021 and the number one defense in yards given up per game in 2021.

Josh Allen is a huge reason why the Bills are the Super Bowl favorites. Allen has thrown for over 4,000 yards in each of the last two seasons, has been a huge threat running the ball, and accounted for nearly 90 total touchdowns since the start of the 2020 season opener.

Oddsmakers decided to place Allen atop the MVP candidates going into the 2022 off-season, but for the first time since February, someone not named Josh Allen is the favorite to win NFL MVP.

Justin Herbert (+500) is now the favorite to win the NFL MVP award.

Allen comes in at +600, while Patrick Mahomes is third at +900.

Herbert and the Los Angeles Chargers barely missed the AFC playoffs last season, losing on a last second field goal in week 18 to the Las Vegas Raiders.

Herbert threw for 5,000 yards in 2021 and has all his offensive weapons back -- Austin Ekeler (RB), Keenan Allen (WR) and Mike Williams (WR).

The Chargers bolstered their defense with star edge rusher Khalil Mack and greatly improved their offensive line.

The Chargers play in the toughest division in the NFL, however, as the entire AFC West could conceivably make the playoffs.

Herbert is great, but he will have Allen and Mahomes to battle for the MVP. I would not count out Aaron Rodgers once again and Lamar Jackson is also a possibility, if he can stay healthy and the Ravens can rebound.
