Is Josh Allen Going To Start Making Movies?
Josh Allen has just found another way to add to his portfolio with a brand new deal.
This time the deal isn't about playing football, but creating content. He's signed a deal with media production company Skydance Sports to "develop a slate of scripted, unscripted and branded content."
According to Hollywood Reporter, some of Skydance's previous work includes movies like Air; the Hallmark holiday movie Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story, Aaron Rodgers: Enigma for Netflix, They Call it Late Night with Jason Kelce on ESPN, and a docuseries that hasn't come out yet called America’s Team: The Gambler and His Cowboys.
“Utilizing my platform to do good and be good is very important to me, and Skydance is an excellent partner, who can help me achieve this goal, through the creation of compelling content that aims to inspire.” - Josh Allen
The specifics of the deal haven't been laid out yet. There's no word on how long it will last, how much it is worth, or even what projects he will be working on. For now, the goal is to simply expand the NFL's reach into entertainment. They're hoping to find new ways to team with the players to provide content to people that "touches on the world of sports."
Fans of Josh Allen know that he is a huge movie buff. He loves to quote movies in everyday life and will sometimes test people to see if they know which movie it is that he's quoting. Someday, maybe young fans will be quoting work that he's done himself.
