Allen, who signed an 8 year, 250+ million dollar deal this offseason with the Buffalo Bills was on everyone's lips this preseason as the front runner for the NFL's MVP award. He finished behind Green Bay QB Aaron Rogers last season.

The season didn't start the way Allen or Bills mafia wanted to. The star QB didn't play his best in a week 1 lost to the Steelers and played better but was not as accurate that he wanted to be in the Bills week 2 win over Miami.

Week 3 turned out to be the turning point for the 4-year man from Wyoming. Allen was firing on all cylinders in the Bills' home win over Washington.

Allen had an MVP day throwing for 358 yards, four touchdowns and had a passer rating of 129.8, He also ran for a touchdown in the win for a total of 5 total scores.

It wasn't only Bills Mafia who knew this was a true statement game for the young QB. Yesterday the NFL Network named Allen their MVP of the Day.

The Bills are now 2-1 on the season with two big wins against Miami and Washington after opening the season with a loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. With that win, the Bills are now atop the AFC East in the standings and are only a game behind the Las Vegas Raiders and Denver Broncos for the top spot in the AFC. The Raiders and Broncos are currently 3-0 on the season.
