Josh Allen Wouldn’t Say He Misses Stefon Diggs

The Buffalo Bills quarterback was answering questions yesterday at training Camp and was asked if he misses having wide receiver Stefon Diggs on the team.

Diggs was traded to the Houston Texans this offseason in a move that shocked many. He has been consistently one of the top wideouts in the league, a massive star for Buffalo, and carried a huge dead cap number for trading him. Many felt there was no way the Bills would move such a valuable and expensive piece of their team. However, they did.

Now, there have been plenty of rumors about Diggs and his attitude while on the Bills. Some claim he was cancerous to the team and was trying to get out. These are rumors, though, not confirmed stories from credible sources. What is credible and confirmed is that Diggs is an all-pro receiver who undeniably helped Josh Allen become the quarterback he is today.

Allen, however, has grown. Some might argue he's grown out of needing Diggs, especially if any of the off-field drama regarding him is true. Allen has established himself as one of the top quarterbacks in the league. Once that happens for a signal caller, it generally becomes less important to have star, high-priced receivers because top-tier QBs can make a good receiver look great. The Bills are betting on Allen to do that this year, and by all indications, he should have no problem doing it. After all, the last 2 seasons saw Diggs' production drop significantly in the second half of both, and he virtually disappeared in the playoffs.

Plenty of people will go back and forth on this issue and with Buffalo and Houston playing each other this season, like it or not, Allena nd Diggs will continue to be a hot topic around the league.

Some are saying this is a shot at Diggs. Others are saying he's just making sure he props up his current team while making it known he respects Diggs.
