I don't think there is another person on planet earth that complains more about stopping at stoplights than me. My fiancee always asks me to not worry about it, but it's the timed streetlights that always frustrate me.

You know the ones: there is nobody around and the light turns and then you hit the next light...and the one directly after that.

It's especially bad driving through the City of Buffalo when a majority of the lights are on timers. It's not as bad in the suburbs, but yeah, Niagara Falls Blvd., Transit Road, Southwestern Blvd., and Walden are extremely frustrating as well.

Roundabouts do not have that. You don't have to wait at a roundabout if there is no oncoming car.

However, roundabouts aren't overly common in Western New York and because of that, there can be a lot of confusion or just a lack of common courtesy when it comes to going through one.

For instance, the number of cars that simply do not yield is astonishing. They don't even pump the break -- just straight on through without a care in the world.

Then, you have the polar opposite. The cars that sit there all day long if there's any car in the roundabout, they don't go.

There are a few roundabouts or circles that drive me up the wall in Buffalo and Western New York. Am I the only one?
