The Buffalo Bills have been very busy in free agency so far.

Over the past 48 hours, the Bills have signed Rodger Saffold (guard), Tim Settle (defensive tackle), JaQuan Johnson (defensive tackle) and J.D. McKissic (running back).

However, the Bills have lost players as well.

The team cut guard/tackle Daryl Williams and lost defensive tackle Harrison Phillips to the Minnesota Vikings.

On Tuesday evening, the Bills lost another key starter to the free agent market.

According to NFL reporter Jordan Schultz, the Pittsburgh Steelers will sign Levi Wallace to a two-year, $8 million contract.

Wallace has been the starting corner opposite Tre’Davious White for the last three seasons and was first signed by the Bills as an undrafted free agent in 2018 out of Alabama.

Wallace was a solid zone cover corner and was very smart in recognizing plays early on. He wasn’t as athletic and fast as Tre White but he made up for it in his awareness and was a player Sean McDermott trusted in games.

The Bills will need to find a replacement at cornerback, either in the draft or free agency. Dane Jackson is the projected starter now, since Taron Johnson was signed to play nickel corner. Would the Bills be comfortable having Jackson start at CB2? Especially since Tre White is coming off a knee injury?

Brandon Beane will likely be busy trying to find someone to compete with Jackson for that starting role. Maybe at pick 25 in the NFL Draft next month.
