Lifetime Fishing & Hunting Licenses Being Offered as Vaccine Initiative
There's another incentive out there to try to get New Yorkers to get a shot in their arms. Governor Kathy Hochul announced that New York State and the NY Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC), are teaming up to offer free lifetime hunting and fishing licenses for New York State residents, who go and get their COVID-19 Vaccine shot.
More specifically, the first 2,000 New Yorkers who receive their first vaccine dose between December 1st and the end of the 2021 calendar year are eligible to be entered into the random drawing. In addition to the lifetime licenses, you could win a Grand Prize that Includes deluxe equipment. All entrants will also receive a subscription to DEC's Conservationist Magazine and a Tree Seedling.
The Governor said;
There will be five Grand Prize winners randomly selected from the pool of 2,000 sweepstakes entrants, who will receive their choice of deluxe fishing, hunting, and birding packages. In addition, there will be 25 entrants who will be randomly selected to receive their choice of Second Tier fishing and hunting packages. All of these packages will include annual licenses, and equipment that goes along with them, whether the winners choose angling, bowhunting, rifle hunting, or turkey hunting.
