The new COVID-19 relief package approved over a week ago includes $600 stimulus payments for most Americans (those who earn $75,000 or less in yearly income, phased out at $87,000). That also includes $1,200 payments for couples who earn less than $150,000 a year total.

However, while some people have received their stimulus payment without a problem, many Americans are still waiting for theirs and seem to be waiting longer than they did for the first stimulus payment back in the spring of 2020.

You can check your stimulus on the IRS' official website as I did, but I have encountered this message the last three days and still no deposit. Turns out, many Americans have received the same message when trying to get an update on their second stimulus.

For those who don't receive their stimulus payment for whatever reason, it can be claimed by filing a 2020 tax return in 2021.

A reason for having trouble getting your second stimulus payment is a change in bank information or address since the first stimulus payment, however, I have changed absolutely nothing since the first stimulus payment and I also get that odd message seen above.

Those who used H&R Block or TurboTax have experienced problems getting their stimulus payment. Some users have seen it go to a different bank account.

Those who opted to get a payment on a debit card are more likely to see an account number they aren't familiar with, in regards to payment.

H&R Block says not to worry, however.

"But don’t worry – we have sent these payments on to the method you chose for Refund Transfer: direct deposit, check or Emerald Card," H&R Block said Monday night. "The money should be there by the end of the day."
