The reason is that I found some research that shows what are the luckiest numbers that are drawn for the lottery.

According to Reader's Digest, these are the five numbers that have come up most often since October 31st, 2017.

• 11
• 9
• 10
• 4
• 19

22 was drawn 26 times since October 2017, making it the most drawn number for the Mega Millions. 11 was drawn 24 times, while 9, 10, 4, and 19 were each drawn over 20 times.

Still want some more choices, the numbers 13,14,17,18,24, and 25 were each drawn 18 times since 2017.

In order to win the jackpot, you need to match all six numbers drawn. If you do, you could take home over $270 million dollars.

What happens if you don't match all six numbers? You can still win. According to the Mega Millions rules, if you match the following amount of numbers you will win something.

• Five main/white numbers: $1,000,000
• Any four main/white numbers and the mega ball: $10,000
• Any four main/white numbers: $500
• Any three main/white numbers and the mega ball: $200
• Any three main/white numbers: $10

So if you are going to get a ticket for tonight's drawing, hopefully, luck is on your side and you at least win something.
