Mexican Restaurant/Cantina Is Now Open In Downtown Buffalo
The great thing about Buffalo and Western New York is the diversity in food and drink. The culinary cuisine explosion within the last few years (with the exception of 2020) has been mind-blowing and now it looks like downtown Buffalo will be celebrating with tacos and cocktails.
There is a new addition to Buffalo's downtown Mexican cuisine scene and this new restaurant will have its focus on street-style tacos and tequila-inspired libations. And the cool thing is that it will be operated by a WNY native who took his experiences, passions, and love for Mexican fare creating his own flair for the food.
As WGRZ reports "The Western New York TACO TRAIL is expanding throughout the area thanks to owner Ryan DiFranco",
In Spanish "Hombre y Lobo" translates into "man and wolf" and Ryan describes it as being a vibrant colorful restaurant located right at 149 Swan Street (where the old Black Button Distilling used to be).
Ryan also said:
"We wanted to stay true to authentic Mexican cuisine as as as much as we could with the addition of some really cool Buffalo items, too,"
After all, nothing says, good times, great vibes, and festive fun with food and drinks more than a Mexican restaurant, and as reported by WGRZ, the menu features items from local farmers including a Buffalo Chicken and a Chiavetta's Chicken Taco. Homemade salsas, guacamole, and queso will also be made and served daily. If you want to take a walk on the wild side eaters can try their "Chapulines," which are chile and salt fried grasshoppers flown in fresh from Mexico. There's also a wide selection of mezcal and tequila-based cocktails.
I think I would start with the drinks before crunching and munching on Jiminy Cricket. But hey protein is protein, right?
