New KFC Is Coming to North Buffalo
Yet another food option is on the way to North Buffalo and foodies in Buffalo, Tonawanda, and Kenmore are looking forward to it.
Construction is well underway on a brand new KFC Restaurant at 2230 Elmwood Ave, just south of the corner of Kenmore Ave. This new restaurant is right next door to an existing Wendy's and right on the border of Buffalo and Kenmore.
This new fast food restaurant gives another selection to an area in North Buffalo that has quite a variety of eateries now. Within 1 square mile, you can find Moe's, Five Guys, Anderson's, Popeyes, McDonald's, Wendy's, Tim Horton's, Sonic, Checkers, Mighty Taco, Boston Market, Just Pizza, Jimmy's Red Hots, and a bunch of other locations
There is also a Taco Bell just down the street on Elmwood as well. Taco Bell and KFC are owned by the same parent company, Yum! Brands, a Fortune 500 company based in Louisville, Kentucky which owns well over 53,000 restaurants in at least different 150 different countries.
This new KFC should get some good traffic once they open. I know some of that traffic will come from me because I am always looking for some food to buy.
I remember back in my college partying days and trying to make a late-night stop at the KFC on North Bailey and Grover Cleveland Highway before they closed. It used to be a race against time trying to get from the Elmwood Village, up to the UB South area for some of that KFC mashed potatoes and gravy.
