Just days after pictures of New York congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez were posted online showing her in Florida without a mask, her staff sent out a press release saying that she has tested positive for COVID-19.

According to Fox News' website, the congresswoman is currently at home with mild mild symptoms. The statement also stressed that the congresswoman received her booster shot this past Fall.

The biggest issue with the statement for a lot of people is that the congresswoman was seen several times last week in Florida out in public without a mask knowing that there are very strict mask mandates in her home state of New York.

Also as part of her statement from her office, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez encouraged people to get the vaccine and the booster if possible.
