Playing Status of Some Bills Players In Doubt For Sunday’s Game Against Miami
The Buffalo Bills will soon have a chance to earn their first win of the 2021 regular season when they play at the Miami Dolphins this Sunday at 1 pm at Hard Rock Stadium.
The Bills will need to pass protect better against Miami since that was a driving force for losing the home opener against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The defensive line put some pressure on Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, but that could also use a boost this Sunday.
A few players' statuses for Sunday's game in Miami are in doubt, including defensive tackle Star Lotulelei, wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie and wide receiver Gabriel Davis.
Lotulelei is still dealing with a calf injury that caused him to miss the season opener, so there's a good chance he's questionable at best for week 2. He was limited at practice on Wednesday.
McKenzie has been dealing with a shoulder injury since camp, and it seemed to have reaggravated it against Pittsburgh, but quickly came back after going briefly to the locker room during week 1. McKenzie was also limited at practice on Wednesday.
Gabriel Davis is the one player who did not practice on Wednesday, who is dealing with an injury (ankle). It's unclear if he will play on Sunday and that would be a blow for the Bills against a stout Miami defense if Davis cannot go,
Linebacker Matt Milano was also limited at practice on Wednesday with an ankle injury.
Wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders is still technically on the injury report, but he was a full-go at Wednesday's practice and chances are he will play this Sunday.
