Western New York food is one of the best things about living in Buffalo. While other regions enjoy chain restaurants, Buffalo prides itself on tons of local places that serve up anything from bar food to high dining.

Wings and beef on weck stops are obviously, rich and plentiful, but I also love the cozy places that serve up a long list of other comfort foods, and this is the time of the year to enjoy just that.

It's also sad when a local restaurant we love closes for good. Unfortunately, that's the case with one popular Williamsville restaurant at the end of 2021.

According to their Facebook page, Gate House Grill, located on Main Street in the heart of Williamsville, will be saying goodbye on December 30th, 2021.

Any saved gift cards should be used within the next four weeks that they are open, and Gate House Grill made sure to thank all their loyal customers who visited throughout the years that they were open.

Last year around this time, Buffalo Roadhouse Grill on Niagara Falls Blvd. in Amherst closed its doors for good, as they were a victim of the loss of business because of the pandemic.

It's so sad when we see these local restaurants close, especially this time of the year. Thank you to Gate House Grill for the service over the last 15 years.
