The Buffalo Bills are 1-1 and next Sunday they play their second home game of the 2021 regular season. The Bills host The Washington Football team at 1 pm at Highmark Stadium.

The week 3 game will mark the first with the new vaccine mandate at Highmark Stadium, which was announced last week by Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz with Pegula Sports and Entertainment.

The new mandate requires any fan 12 or older attending the game to have at least one dose of the vaccine. That goes until October 31st, when fans over 12 years of age must be fully vaccinated (both doses of Pfizer or Moderna or one dose of Johnson & Johnson).

The Bills allowed season ticket holders to request refunds by a Friday, September 17th deadline, and according to a report by Sal Capaccio of WGR, 762 refund requests were made by season ticket holders.

WIVB's Chris Horvatits reported the same soon after.

The 762 refund requests were granted. Meaning, they were requested by Friday, September 17th.

The vaccine mandate is the same for Sabres games and events at KeyBank Center, starting this Saturday for the Eric Church concert. The Sabres first regular-season home game is October 14th against the Montreal Canadiens.

Acceptable proofs of vaccine are physical vaccine cards, Excelsior passes (on your phone), a clear digital vaccine card, or a Government digital vaccine card for those who don't live in New York State.

There is no test-out option for fans attending games or events at Highmark Stadium or KeyBank Center.
