Rush Drummer Neil Peart’s New DVD Sheds Light on His Distinct Playing Style

Musicians know that the Rush catalog is loaded with Neil Peart’s distinct, intricate drum work.

Aspiring percussionists can get an inside look at the master’s approach via his new instructional DVD, which is scheduled for an Oct. 14 release.

Titled ‘Taking Center Stage: A Lifetime of Live Performance,’ the six-hour-plus DVD has rehearsal footage from Rush’s Time Machine Tour, along with a complete concert that was filmed in New York. The package also will include commentary from Peart about all of the songs that were part of the set list, a PDF eBook with transcriptions of Peart’s drum parts and much more.
